Is that earth directed or not

Apparently the earlier spectacular CME isn’t gonna do much if anything at all. SRI. Stick around we are still six months from solar max and two more years of fun after that.  No problem.

Anyone got an idea where that new CME is from? not from this region right?

The small CME south of center-disk? It looks like it could have been a filament that was hanging around a little lower than the -70 latitude line on the south-southwest limb. Then the X3 flare seems to have made it launch after the shock went by.

............

Actually the filament looked to be at about 30 degrees longitude and -70 latitude very roughly.

i'm ready to mentally prepare that it will launch a big one after hiding behind the limb

This one formed a delta alot earlier than 3575 did so we have a decent shot that it's earth facing! We should have a good 6 or 7 days before it's out of view

It looks like the one "good" delta has gotten stronger and appears there are 2 weak ones starting to take root!

That one delta we've had for the past few days is at Its weakest point and is the only spot that can even be considered a delta at this point. My hopes are down the drain for this region sadly.

Edit: Something is rising within the region, please blast off now & don't just collapse into nothing 😎

IMO positive polarity spots in this AR are too small and weak to produce anything really big.

A lot of loops rising & activity ongoing now atleast, might be a prelude to an incoming eruption.

Now we just need this movement/activity to destabilize the big filament just underneath the region.

Damn, just looking at the loops, this can be huge if things wants to go our way.

Looks like a squid just inked SDO 131   Still there kinda.  Hilarious

Budget cuts!!  Should’ve had windscreen wipers on this sucker before we launched it.  Next time perhaps….
