Did that develop further? :3

That's the same spot that you asked about 30 min earlier if I'm not mistaken, I'm not sure what to make of it either so can't answer that.

So basically, no

Sorry, just getting so confused with the 2 Areas being so close and similiar. Had a bad sleep, brain fried.

But nice that a (altough small) delta popped up, because one of the regions decayed to beta according to the Homepage.

You're fine, it's confusing with two AR's very close to each other.

It confused me as well at first

I have a Question.

According to Spaceweatherlive 2994 decayed to Beta.(pic attached)

Is this true and if yes, why is the X-Flare Chance still unchanged at 25% ?

Our Favorite Region seems to be earth facing now 🙂

Also : Is this a Delta?

They sure are.. Time to turn the focus to the limb for now I guess

I didnt think they looked that shabby in the Magnetic Wavelength SDO map thingy.. sad. :c

Especially with the tiny delta

Still 2993 and 2994 are making a very pretty sight with that big loop and facing right at us.

Will it snap? I dont really know much about those loops.. are they filaments ? I feel like i've learned nothing in 3 years and it frustrates me.

Any Info appreciated!

Other than that the X-Ray Flux is tanking.. so whats up with our Friends? 🤔😀

Like you already know, sunspots are like magnets, each spot has a positive or negative polarity. So just like a magnet there is a magnetic field line going from the positive to the negative. The magnetic loop you see is connected with two sunspots, along the magnetic field line flows mass of the Sun making it good visible on the AIA imagery. During a strong solar flare, these loops can break and unleash a CME

But in this case, the loop likely won't break as it hasn't broke with each of the impulsive solar flares we have had. And with the current magnetic state it's not going to give big bangers. 2994 is now a simple beta region (no longer beta-gamma as it's now easy to draw a line between the two polarities). 2993 has shrunken and continues its slow decay, still some mixing (beta-gamma as you can't draw a line between the two polarities) but nothing fancy anymore.
