I hope someone here can confirm the Delta. 1 hour ago, mozy said: 2993 looking a bit more interesting compared to yesterday, spots of opposite polarity don't seem as spread out anymore, still nothing impressive, hope it keeps building with more spots. Thank you. Noaa said one of them is degrading, thats why i asked

Good spot, I wouldn't call it delta just yet, but if it grows & expands then yes it definitely has the potential to be one.
Carl Bergstrand
@MinYoongi, sorry for being vague. What I ment is that I believe that AR2994 is about to develop a delta spot, or has already. It's visible in the HMI-images also. Although "old in this game" I'm still uncertain when it comes to sunspots. @mozy Cheers! Lets see Visible in HMI also.

Carl Bergstrand
Haha, It's probably to small to be called anything, as @mozy is saying. I'm so excited I'm jumping at anything now.
Sam Warfel
Yeah, it’s not within the penumbral area of the main spot as would be required to call it a delta (I think that’s correct), but it’s an encouraging sign. Let’s hope it grows and gets closer. Edited April 21, 2022 by Orneno

Chris, HB9DFG
Hello all I checked once LASCO pictures and as far as I can say this M9.6-CME looks like a small, not earth directed CME pushing the material away about 45° upwards. This 45° upwards trend I saw already a lot this cycle and also the limb-X2.2 put the most of the cloud 45° downwards and not earth directed. Printscreens for the gif-subtractiom animation are taken from 08:42h and 12:42h Regards, Chris Edited April 21, 2022 by Chris, HB9DFG

But there is a tiny little speck (get the magnifying glass) visible that is opposite polarity but it has to grow in the northern part of the trailing spot between two spots: in 2993 there is hope in the northern part where the penumbral area of spots of opposite polarity try to merge with the main polarity which is interesting:
HalfFeralHuman
About that 2am event... did anyone take a look at AIA 1600? It's interesting (and following the event the channel shows a lot about how the various spots are interplaying - that channel isn't boring at the moment). There's just so much to unpack in this about what's really going on, with rings containing perpendicular rings and helical jets... Well... an image tells a thousand words, or maybe a million in this case:

So, loads of charged stuff is moving, it take a bit of time for the magnetic fields to settle back down. It's normal. And... flux is still lower than a couple of hours back. The radio emission is propelled by the leading edge of a CME shortly after launch. So, it could have come from the CME after launch, in which case it could be possible to receive it from over the limb.
MinYoongi
Did the regions grew over the day? The Sunspot Page is showing both grew and gained spots. I dont know for sure if they gained complexity with them.
Sam Warfel
I think 2994 is developing deltas around the more eastern of the two major spots! It’s not much yet, but very interesting to watch
