Solar_Marcel
I hope that this region brings us some sun-pyrotechnics-show at new years eve, if i´m not mistaken this bright loop would correspond to newly named AR 3536

Since the Julian/Gregorian calendar change resulted in missing days, maybe it will bring the skyshow for a Mele Kalikimakka. Pretty excited for the epiphany~☆
Philalethes
And anotha' one. Looks like it just crept into X-class territory too. Cool stuff. Usually when they rise that fast they tend to be impulsive from my experience, but I guess we'll find out pretty soon.

Philalethes
This little fakeout is interesting though, now it reached X2, still rising. Maybe not that impulsive after all (and I guess impulsive X-flares are a different beast than impulsive M-flares). X3 now, as I got done typing this. That makes it the strongest this cycle, not bad at all!

Can't recall which measurement is typically used to record the flares for later on this site and otherwise, I assume @Vancanneyt Sander knows. Still obviously a record-breaker for this cycle! 3 minutes ago, MinYoongi said: I wonder how it can still flare so strong? But we manually correct them if they’re off 😇 1

mozy
Highly eruptive too, I wonder if an earth directed component could be possible just looking at SUVI, literally blasting everywhere
