LunarLights58
I think it's safe to say a fast full halo CME has been launched.

Solarflaretracker200
Wtf. That’s new. I didn’t miss the M4 flare. It wasn’t while I was sleeping. Now that’s just rare
MinYoongi
Now its in rather rapid decline. im not a long time observer but this was the longest m-class flare i witnessed

I started to watch when it literally got to M4. 🤣
David Silver
One way to quickly see the duration is look at the X-ray absorption. Seems fairly fast fortunately. Strong enough we are also beginning to see proton enhancement. Bz is North, we are shielded mostly. Jesterface23
It is still really early, but so far I'd be thinking of a travel time of around 48 hours
Flareguy18
Watching after the M4 flare this morning 👀 this should be interesting.

Tristan
WOW. Impressive polarity intermixing. Easily the most so far this cycle. Low level X-flares are possible. Could be very interesting if it continues to develop. I will be watching this one closely.

Isatsuki San
ok well I just came back, and I see that sunspot 2975 released a class M4 solar flare of long duration 1 hour that the cme can come between 3 or 2 days and increased the flow of c
Jesterface23
I'd put a preliminary arrival time of around /31 02:20Z. I'll go with a chance of error +-6 hours.
Vancanneyt Sander
Great to see that I saw that correctly this morning strong delta asks for strong solar flares and there we have the M4 ❤️ . Shortly after the flare proton enhancement and S1 space radiation storm was in progress indicating it was eruptive. Type IV radio sweep and a strong coronal dimming which makes a CME very likely and due to it's position it will be Earth directed. EPAM also responded on the flare, so that's an other good sign.

Looks quite asymmetric though. Much faster to the north. Perhaps the core could be directed north of Earth. Eagerly awaiting LASCO imagery on this. LunarLights58
I think this CME is the fastest I've ever seen by appearance on the video from SDO.
Vancanneyt Sander
Yes, bulk will be away from us, and only a minor fraction Earthbound. So an asymmetrical full halo CME.
Marcel de Bont
We will put out a news article later tonight so keep your eyes peeled for that but I am going to be honest, the CME isn't what I expected of this flare considering the extensive coronal dimming. I am however very much liking the look of this region, so much magnetic mixing. Very promising.

Marcel de Bont
Yes, but only a couple of frames.
