What happen if we have a long duration of proton? Sorry am new around here and learning as I go.

Nothing for us to be concerned about particularly.  Our atmosphere gives us more than ample protection in the event you were concerned. It may be a concern for satellite operators, however they are well aware of these events and take proper steps.  For us Amateur Radio guys and gals over the pole communications may be unreliable.  Thats a brief summary.  @Balerion

"Captain, we are in position on the departing limb, I repeat, we are in position." "Roger that, lieutenant. You may proceed with initiating the flaring sequence; I repeat, flaring is a go!"

Haven't done one of these in a while. Now don't go into chaos mode on the far side, 3576.

That was absolutely wonderful to watch. Reminds me of microscopic organisms.

3576 is not on the Earth-facing disk, not sure what you’re talking about. It’s possible it crosses the farside and comes back, but we won’t know until then.

You’re talking about AR 3590 I presume. There is a topic for this sunspot if you want to ask your question there. If you are really talking about AR 3576 which went behind the limb a couple days ago, it won’t be back for a week or more,  if it doesn’t decay.
