  • Yes I would say that too. If 3576 waits until the limb I will go up to D5 and it will be a full blown disappointment storm.

do you mean it as it would be a solid G5 if in the epicenter?

I hope this region survives the farside. Although, if it keeps erupting like this, it’ll probably reconfigure to a more stable state unfortunately. It’s times like these that I really wish we could see the sunspots and magnetic fields on the farside.

how high are chances that 3575 is coming back on the earth-facing solar disk? it still produces some really impressive flaring

Seems like this region has done it again, another fast moving CME on the farside..

Too bad we're literally missing all of it, would probably be a contender as solar cycle 25's highlight.

I saw @tniickck post and figured it was still removing excess mass from our sun.   I may become a pessimist soon unless this thing returns with some gusto in ten days or so…..
