I’m surprised we didn’t get an X-class during its recent Delta stage actually, it was complex and lasted a while

I mean I'm surprised we barely even got M-flares lol.. I was expecting way more activity.

We did almost get 40 solar flares yesterday though... https://www.canva.com/design/DAE_2Uz_H-s/xyPYWBNbrA_xk8OWqxm0pA/view?utm_content=DAE_2Uz_H-s&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link&utm_source=publishsharelink

(By the way this does update when I update it)

But I mean almost 40 in just a day- that's mind blowing. But yeah M classes would have been better.

With a region like that I wouldn't really consider it mind blowing, but I'll just wait for the limb X-flare from this region 😎

Decent eruption behind the western limb from this region now.

X-ray flux rising over the M-class now.

Looks like there's a big CME associated with it aswell.

Expected as I said, it will release a huge flare once it reaches the limb ;)

But 3007 is flaring too, so can we say for sure its this region thats flaring "more" making the flux rise? :D

And yeah, it waited :D

Yes, It's definitely 3004 making the X-ray flux rise, It's a massive one. Big CME aswell.

Surely a bigger X-class one, just looking at SUVI, impressive.

Nope, if that was the case the flux would be higher as the loops where still above the limb. It’s a long duration event so flare strength doesn’t really matter much.

Do you think it reached X-class at all then? Edit: Also images are starting to come in.
