This region is flaring sympathetic with the limb region. I think it’s a double flare event, but I don’t know if that recent peak is from this region more than the other.

Finally I’m the first to report on this here :D in the last few weeks I always lagged behind.

According to solar ham there was minor/weak coronal dimming associated with the second peak which could mean a CME.

Was too busy with sleeping to report on this 😅 but a small CME would be nice, should have at least some earth directed component due to its position right?

With how close the umbra cores are getting, X-flares are possible today.

The middle ones are pretty tightly packed

And also different polarities, I'm seeing the potential that has.

This spot is weak and will definitely not produce an x-flare with a full halo and earth directed cme. I give it a -5% chance of producing an x-flare before crossing the LOD.

Me too, this spot is so lame it is not capable of anything at all.  Might as well just die right now.

Are sunspots susceptible to reverse psychology?  We shall find out...

No matter which way you try, you just can't win...

Gimme an X class!!  M9.53.  Close but 3654 will have to attend classes in proper sunspot behavioral characteristics in Unproven Theories until next rotation.

Did the CME visible on LASCO originate from this region? It did do a longer lasting C5 flare with movement visible on SUVI so maybe?

I believe so, and I think it's indeed associated with that long-duration C-flare; you can see the eruption in e.g. the 195 Å imagery at around 06:00, and there are also post-eruption arcades forming there.

yes, south to the region. i think its not earth directed though. other opinions=?

Where ever the CME came from, it certainly would be a glancing blow. The travel time to L1 may be around 3 days, but not expecting much geomagnetic activity from it.

My predictions wouldn't exceed G1 either, if we even get to G1
