Philalethes
Finally a flare in an interesting location for once. Not entirely sure if it was mostly from here or 3411, but definitely potentially geoeffective if it turns out to be eruptive.
mozy
Kinda forgot how it felt to get a notification on my phone about an ongoing flare, promising location though 1
tniickck
it looks like a filament popped off, at least SDO images show this any thoughts? 10 minutes ago, mozy said: Kinda forgot how it felt to get a notification on my phone about an ongoing flare, promising location though u will be sad to face solar minimum

I don't think there was any filament there, at least not from what I can see; but if you look below it and towards the center on the 195 and 304 Å imagery it does seem to have occurred along with some larger structure, not sure if it's just very sympathetic or part of the same event, but definitely seems to be associated:

(About the eruption) Looking at SDO 304 Å imagery over a few days just now it's easier to see the filament in question for sure. The eruption doesn't look that powerful, but from what I've seen it's not always that easy to say with filament eruptions. Direction looks like there could potentially be something headed our way, but too early to tell. Looking forward to seeing LASCO imagery as always. Jesterface23
A rough estimation with the imagery available from SOHO and mostly SA, the travel time to SA may span between 2.5-4 days. Overall, not expecting the CME to do too much.
