Analysis of the Solar Activity June 9th 2014

Analysis of the past 24h

Region 2080 decayed further in the trailing and leading part of the sunspot cluster, this region will pose no threat for strong flares.

Region 2085 is now the most interesting region and developed further during the last 24h and developed a magnetic delta structure in the central part of the region. The region gets magnetically more complex and a steady rise in the background flux can be seen with multiple C-class flares, chances for an M-class event are growing.

What can we expect in the upcoming 24h?

Solar activity is expected to be low with a chance for an M-class event from region 2085.

M-class flare probability: 30% chance

X-class flare probability: 1% chance
