Marcel de Bont
SpaceWeatherLive Report Solar Activity Update May 23, 2013 Let's take a look at Active Region 1756. This region has been growing the past hours and already produced some small C-class flares. It has grown two delta magnetic delta structures but they are still relatively weak, if they however keep developing then we can expect more activity from this region. The picture below shows with arrows the interesting areas of Active Region 1756. What can we expect the coming 24 hours? Because of the magnetic delta structures, we can say there is a risk for a small M-class solar flare. Larger eruptions are only possible if the group continues to develop. M-class flare probability: 40% chance X-class flare probability: 5% chance We will continue to monitor the activity and post updates on the forum, Facebook, Twitter and Google+.
