Vancanneyt Sander
A big fat sunspot rotated into view, the very big and dark core in a big penumbra draws all attention to it. It is not fully rotated into view yet. On the SDO imagery it sure gives a nice impression. Further on the Sun, all regions remain very quiet, background flux is around B3 but hopefully we'll get to see some new activity very soon. Joeri
The new sunspot region isn't really big. However, if the magnetic field of the region would become more complex, the solar activity could finally increase. UPDATE: The sunspot region seems to be the region that had released a huge CME into space last week.
