  • I think we should be very careful with trying to find patterns like this and then believing it when it's 99% a coincidence. It's in the nature of us humans to find patterns to get understanding on thi

Yeah, it's pretty much a certainty; but SolO should be in position indeed, so maybe it'll tell us something interesting.

Will definitely be visible on the STIX data. The X1.5 from before was also detected.

There seems to be another CME, but i guess directed away from earth´?

It looks like that to me too. Let's see how it looks in LASCO but it is definitely not earth directed.

Yeah, seems so indeed. Would be extremely unlikely to take a hit from anything at this point anyway, so I guess we're waiting for whatever the next interesting region will be now.

Another crazy trip around the Sun. Here is region 3697 this rotation. Even if 3697 doesn't make a return, there is activity bubbling up all around it.

So much movement and little pores, reminds me of AR3576 from February.

probably the wrong thread or im looking a the wrong thing but,

Lasco C3 shows the beginnings of a CME in its last images ( timestamped 0:142) but there is no associated spike that i can see in the Xray Flux? does this mean Farside event?

May I ask you, if AR3697 continues to produce strong flares today, tomorrow, in a week, will we be able to somehow see them happening? Thank you.

Eh, one here isn't there isn't bad is some situations.

It In this case it looks to be a slow northeast disk filament eruption. And Earth arrival doesn't seem likely with how slow it is.

Even if 3697 falls apart on the far side, a large area around the region looks primed for new activity. We'll just need to wait and see once it comes back around.

We won't see him for about two weeks, am I right? Thank you.

The X12 flare on 20th May and the resulting radiation storm was recorded on Mars by Curiosity's camera.

Big eruption once again behind the limb..

I noticed that we got a fresh blast of type Ii and iv radio waves a bit earlier so I figured something must have flared pretty strong !

Is it from this region? I was asleep 😅😅

STIX detected an X3 on 11.06 at 22:38. This was probably the source of the CME.

Would match perfectly to NOAA SWPC warning:

WARNING: Proton 10MeV Integral Flux above 10pfu expected
Valid From: 2024 Jun 12 0310 UTC
Valid To: 2024 Jun 12 1500 UTC
Warning Condition: Onset
Predicted NOAA Scale: S1 - Minor

Pretty good prediction with 10MeV above 10pfu!

Is that from 3697?

Yes the flare and the CME came from 3697
