The second peak seems to halt at M7.35

STEREO A already has a halo CME

There is a second delta on the east side of the region and I think the west side of the region (the X-class) triggered it to go off.

A double peak eruption can happen from the same region or with another region together, but it happens when another region has already launched a solar flare or the same region has a little more energy left to release, well that's how I interpret it.

Went ahead and made a topic for this CME or CMEs. Just waiting on imagery

You're right, it (most probably) won't, it seems that the second flare of this event has reached its peak at the intensity of M7.35

Well no, it is not going to increase anymore, in fact it is lowered right now to an M6.6 and it was still lowered.

That's because there is a delay between the satellite's imagery being shown to us and the satellite registering the values of the flare

This pretty much turned into a multi-peak flare. The 4th on the east side looks to be weaker.

I guess I can't say multi-peak. It is triple peak with 4 flares

This region definitely has the recipe. I don't see much of change inside the region after this multi-peak event so we will likely get more fireworks in the coming days.

Well, the 3rd and 4th peak are somewhat merged together, but I guess it would count as multi-peak flare now

By the way, are there post flare accardes?   after the LDE.

I hope the recent CME released by this sunspot is just clearing the way for a much stronger flare and much faster CME.

No one thinks this spot could do something like that, especially not in its current state.
The most we hope for (what most of us would indeed love to see) is another solid G5, like we had a few weeks ago, May 10th/11th.

Although, not gonna lie, another Carrington would be quite interesting...
