Solution Popular Post Vancanneyt Sander Posted September 5 Solution Popular Post Share Posted September 5 During stronger solar flares the sensor of AIA instrument gets more saturated because of the flares brightness causing more noise in the image. The software tries to compensate but causes these noise and difference in brightness. You can also see that in some videos of AIA imagery of strong solar flares. Overexposure may happen for imaging of solar observation as extremely violet solar bursts occur, which means that signal intensity goes beyond the dynamic range of imaging system of a telescope, resulting in loss of signal. 4 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
