Philalethes
Well that one was certainly aimed straight at us...but naturally it appears to be impulsive.

MinYoongi
Any CME? I think I don’t see much dimming in suvi and looking at lasco I’m not sure but looks like not really a CME ? @Philalethes @Jesterface23

tniickck
and another one, m1.2 i can see little coronal dimming, actually Space Weather Message Code: ALTTP2 Serial Number: 1243 Issue Time: 2023 Sep 05 2039 UTC ALERT: Type II Radio Emission Begin Time: 2023 Sep 05 2021 UTC Estimated Velocity: 1314 km/s NOAA Space Weather Scale descriptions can be found at www.swpc.noaa.gov/noaa-scales-explanation Description: Type II emissions occur in association with eruptions on the sun and typically indicate a coronal mass ejection is associated with a flare event. tniickck
it is pretty strange: it is claimed to happen on farside, but we got Type 2 radio sweep and minor proton (0.631 pfu max) rise and answering your question, it is not physically possible this happened just in time the M1.2 flare erupted just opposite the earth summing up the theme of CME 05/2036 UT и М1,2 в AR3421 05/1945 UT 1) SIDC: 2023 Sep 06 1226 UT M1.2 05/1945 UT AR3421, was associated with the full halo CME. CME was first seen in the SOHO/LASCO C2 at 05/2024 UT. CME had velocity of ~1300 km/s (as reported CACTUS), and it is possible that, due to its large width and source region situated at the center of the solar disc, it will arrive to Earth. The expected arrival time of this CME at Earth is in the early afternoon of 07.09.23 2) SWPC NOAA: 2023 Sep 06 1230 UT A type II radio sweep, estimated speed 1,314 Km/s beginning at 05/2021 UT. A likely associated CME is evident in LASCO C2. The source location for this event is on far side of the disk. sources: http://www.sidc.be/products/presto https://www.swpc.noaa.gov/products/forecast-discussion https://kauai.ccmc.gsfc.nasa.gov/DONKI/view/WSA-ENLIL/26810/1 Edited September 6 by tniickck

hamateur 1953
I have been watching the low level proton bump for the last day or so as well. Insufficient to have any effect at our magnetic poles, but interesting.
