Philalethes
Definitely still looking active from the imagery, just saw what looked like some mildly eruptive activity too. Looking forward to getting a better look at it in a few days.

Philalethes
Latest positive spot to grow makes this look partially reversed; not entirely, but not exactly the right way either, more sideways. Something to watch now that 3386 is gone, I guess.

Synoptic maps from 4th, 5th and 7th show field development.

Looking at the latest photospheric map from WSO there is very clearly some rotation in that area when comparing the map from Jul11 with one for Aug 06. Also a fair bit of development in the Northern hemisphere, and in Carrington longitudes 0 to 90.

As for the AR it looks like the positive part didn't really end up growing much though, but there are still some tiny positive spots present. Agreed, it does not look very promising at the moment - but it has some time to develop before getting to the limb!
tniickck
it starts growing a bit, but I pay more attention to 3395, it now grows much faster
