Andrey M
Who knows what causes the daily breaks in the data from L1?
Sam Warfel
It's an issue with the spacecraft, it's data feeds cut out sometimes, or cause those abnormally high/low sections. There's nothing we can do about it, it's the fault of the spacecraft. Â It's an aging piece of equipment.
MinYoongi
People forget that DSCOVR was offline for a (i think) relatively long time and has suffered a bit of damage ( for an example, its faraday cup is really screwed). sometimes its not the Satellite/Device but Noaa's webserver, website or data being received slower.
Drax Spacex
There may also be occasional gaps in DSCOVR ground tracking station coverage: https://www.swpc.noaa.gov/products/dscovr-schedule-tracking

Sounds like it was a small hiccup with no lasting impact, according to Wikipedia at least
Andrey M
I think that no one has given an exact answer about the reasons for the daily data interruptions from L1
