Carolyn M
Does anyone know the number of AR3169 before it returned?
Solution Sam Warfel Posted December 29, 2022 Solution Share Posted December 29, 2022 Looks like it was just a plage/faculae region (at least that’s what there on Dec 1st, which I think is today’s date in the last rotation)

The two ARs cannot be directly linked, but they clearly arise from the same underlying source of magnetic field. The farside images from jsoc help to illustrate this.

Ah thank you, I didn’t think to go two rotations back.
