That is correct, but if you look back to the rotation before that you will find that exactly the same region supported AR3131. The two ARs cannot be directly linked, but they clearly arise from the same underlying source of magnetic field. The farside images from jsoc help to illustrate this.

Ah thank you, I didn’t think to go two rotations back.
