MinYoongi
how can such a big jump happen? 10CM radio flux @Vancanneyt Sander @Marcel de Bont 3089 didnt grew THAT much ? it really didnt grow fast or alot-lot. so im confused? is it because of 3088? @Newbie maybe you know something? i saw such a jump in march already with 23UTC being normal again compared the videos from march too and there was no major growth, rather small decay seen on the sunspots
Dr. I
Hmmm, not an expert but sheer number of M-class flares may have skewed the data?
MinYoongi
Not skewed, it did temporarily raise the Sfi its back to normal now!

SFI is a measure of solar particles and magnetic fields reaching the Earths atmosphere. The SFI is related to the number of flares occuring. N. Edit: This was reported by Solarham just now. What's up with the Solar Flux Index? It should be noted that the solar flux reading at 20:00 UTC (Aug 28) is showing a whopping 251.9. This measurement was contaminated due to the flaring beforehand and an estimated value will likely be added in its place. Obviously there was a lot of activity going on anyway. N.
