Sam Warfel
Is this solar wind data correct, or is bad data? If it's good, that's the slowest wind speed I've seen in a long time, maybe ever... Edited May 8, 2022 by Orneno
MinYoongi
" .24 hr Summary... Solar wind parameters were at nominal levels. Solar wind speed ranged between 275-350 km/s, total field peaked at 6 nT, and the Bz component dropped as low as -5 nT. Phi angle was negative."  This is from Noaa's forecast discussion. Seems to be legit.  Buuut i have a shimmer of hope for you @Orneno ! "Forecast... Enhanced solar wind parameters are likely on 08 May due to the potential arrival of the 03 May CME. An additional enhancement is possible late on 10 May due to the aforementioned 07 May CME."

I remember seeing that when I watched for about two weeks before giving up back in 2020 or something.

Wow, it’s so slow… 55 minutes ago, MinYoongi said: Buuut i have a shimmer of hope for you @Orneno ! Well that would be better than nothing, but it’s still not gonna be strong enough for aurorae in my area 😢

Could that be because we have recently had a period with no coronal holes visible earthside?

Drax Spacex
Slow solar wind and Kp0 versus X1.5 flare on successive days. The Sun seems to be suffering from a bipolar disorder.
