ron
Greetings! Several of the graphs on the solar cycle page need to be updated. They are no longer of value if they show information 2 months or so ago. Sincerely, Ron Busby
Vancanneyt Sander
Solar cycle page graphs are updated every month. They are not outdated 🤷♂️. sunspot number graph has latest data point on March. We’re still april so that will be available in may. radio flux latest data point is februari, likely SWPC was late in their data. I can look it up to see if it’s already updated. All other graphs have data that’s not months old as well.
ron
If you choose to update these graphs once a month, then they are of little value. Since you feel it is OK, why don't you drop the pretense of accuracy and just not include these graphs. An up-to-date graph is a valuable tool. Sincerely, Ron Busby When values are only updated every month by the official instances (SWPC/SILSO), why would we have to update them more frequently? ps: number of CMX per year and of last month, number of geomagnetic storms per year and spotless days per year is updated daily. All others monthly. It’s clearly indicated on the page what the frequency is.

Sincerely, Ron Busby It would be useless to update them everyday/week if you think about it... Would you rather have it updated once a month so It's more accurate and tells you the SSN (i think thats what it is called) or updated every week or day and it be less accurate?
ron
It's your choice! Be real and useful or not. Once a month is not. Accuracy of observation is the foundation of science. You need not concern yourself as there are so many real sources of information available. You can continue to pretend these are useful. You know what, if you think it's such a great idea, why don't you do it?

Ron Busby No actually, it’s not our choice. SWPC updates those every month and only every month. We cannot provide data that doesn’t exist. We are not professional analysts. Besides, these graphs deal with timescales of years and years. Daily data would be pointless, even if it was possible. So, we are actually being real and useful, any space weather scientist would know that and realize daily data for SSN is ridiculous.
