Solarflaretracker200
I tried to look it up but it didn't give me the answer I wanted. So I am asking here. Does it last 4 months? 10 Months? 18 months or 2 years? Edited April 26, 2022 by Solarflaretracker200
MinYoongi
4 months is way too quick. I started observing in 2019 and it took till the end of 2021, activity went down 2018.
HalfFeralHuman
Sunspot counts go up and down in a vaguely sinusoidal pattern and it doesn't stop and wait at solar minimum, so I don't think that's a question anyone can really give an objective answer to other than 'an infinitely short time'. Solution Vancanneyt Sander Posted April 27, 2022 Solution Share Posted April 27, 2022 Solar minimum with barely any spots is about two years give or take. Just look at the spotless days graph in the solar cycle progression page for that hint. 1
