Sam Warfel
AR 2960 is developing rapidly, when it first came over the limb it was basically just faculae. Now it has a number of spots, and looks decently complex (can someone who understands it better class this AR?) If it continues to grow, I’m keeping my eye on this one! This is what I like, an AR developing right after the East limb, not right when it goes over the West.

Yes, it looks like it developed right on the limb. There has been no indication of it in the far-side images.

On the second of March, there is absolutely nothing in that spot, maybe a tiny faculae: On the third of march, there are faculae and a tiny sunspot: Today, its a sunspot with size 380, have developed in about a day. The sunspot is not right at the limb, it's a little past it, indicating it had to have developed in the last day, and not appeared over the limb. Jesterface23
STEREO A takes the region back to the 28th or possibly 27th. Hard to tell what sunspot(s) it had then though.
LunarLights58
AR 2957 deserves some attention. It's a good looking region and has greatly developed, too.

hamateur 1953
2961 seemed to pop into view rather suddenly indeed. At least as far as my sporadic observations would indicate to self…. hopefully this is a good sign of things to come! 37 minutes ago, Orneno said: along with 2961 right next to it, they're kinda the same region imo
