What is the biggest number of sunspots you have seen in a region alone

Mine was (Is) AR 2916 which If I remember right It was 21 sunspots in that region. So far it has been my most sunspots in a Region. What about you guys?

You sure? 28/08/2021 was good for 27 spots 😉. Also in terms of size it wasn’t the biggest. See our top 25 list of sunspot regions on the site (filters per SC, per year, allround).

Guess my record is 114 AR11944 on January 9th 2014 and 108 AR10486 on 30th October 2003

Well.. I wasn't here in August. What I mean is like day by day watching the Regions. Like lets say for example AR7310 (Not a real region I know) has 54 sunspots and that is it's maximum. The next day its 23 and so on. Or... did I misunderstand you?
