Vancanneyt Sander
It’s just a CME on the limb after those C-flares. It’s a neat side view of it ☺️
Solarflaretracker200
Do you think it could be earth directed? The sun had just been firing off those c class like crazy today At least today for me. I don’t know about you.
Vancanneyt Sander
Not Earth directed as they occurred on the limb. It’s a nice goodbye of 2898

It's just a pretty normal CME, seen from the side! From that C4 flare, although it's possible it was actually a more powerful flare because it was almost behind the limb. But, it's definitely not Earth-directed. 1

It’s a neat side view of it ☺️ Actually, it kinda looks like two CMEs at the same time, one near the equator and one much lower down. I can kinda see two sources and two different loop shapes for two different CMEs. Is that even possible? Would two CMEs at once have to be purely coincidence (very unlikely), or can the launch of one trigger another one to fire?

Sam Warfel
You won't miss them all ❤️ Wow, there's a lot of c-class flares from that area, it's almost continuous. Some are really nice long-duration ones. Too bad it's not facing us!

Solarflaretracker200
Guys the sun gave us a M class when when we wanted it 😂🤣 But I don't think it was Earth directed Edited December 5, 2021 by Solarflaretracker200
Drax Spacex
27 days since the previous M flare (Nov 9th). HHmmmmmmm.
Solarflaretracker200
Only 27? It feels longer then that
Sam Warfel
The one today was probably much stronger than M in reality, maybe close to X even, because it was partially eclipsed by the edge of the sun. I'm not seeing a really major CME though, not brighter than some of the CMEs from the C-class flares earlier.
