Unexplained phenomenon that I hope some of you can explain

Hi Debbie:

Thanks for the pics, they give a clear enough indication of the colour. I have posted the birefringence interference colour range for quartz. No yellow-green like you mentioned but similar for the bluish colours.This photo is quite low res. could be better.
