monkey_man Posted May 30, 2021 Share Posted May 30, 2021 I don't believe it is Mercury, as it isn't in that position right now, and it was seen crossing the spacecrafts' view behind the Sun back in April. In addition, helioviewer.org has an option to label any planets in the image and the Parker Solar Probe, and it does not list that object as anything. Its location relative to other stars in the LASCO image matches star charts, currently just south of the Sun and the ecliptic.
