The Atmosphere Guy
There has been significant discussion in the recent past, on the concept of ‘planetary clocking’ and it’s potential for distortion of the heliographic sheet and associated fields. At the moment we have the unusually close "Great Conjunction" of Jupiter and Saturn in the evening skies, in parallel with this we have the apparent crash of the NLCs over the south pole (particularly interesting as the Northern appearance was both stronger and earlier than normal), together with ‘off pattern’ behaviour of the Thermosphere Climate Index (TCI) which has deviated from predicted profiles in a quite unusual manner. (Some profile changes had been predicted, but this seems excessive.) The question now is, are the phenomenon interconnected or just coincidence? Bearing in mind that in the real world, nothing produces exact synchronicity, can we expect to see a rapid return to normal – or will it be aligned with the decoupling of the two planets? Opinions?
Christopher S.
I think you're in the wrong section of the forum. There is no relationship between our climate and the alignment of planets. The current study of planetary clocking is still a frontier of science without accepted theorems associated with it.
