  1. On Monday, May 6, an X4.5 class flare was seen in the Sun. I was photographing The Sun at the observatory of Tampereen Ursa just then. Cloudiness disturbed the observations somewhat, but in the end I was able to create a video just when the flare was at its strongest. I stacked this image from this video. This was the first time for me that I could observe (live) such a powerful flare. The smaller ones are stuck in the camera's memory.

  2. Howdy All Y’all! Im fixing,to get a visual/imaging system for use on a 5” ES ED100 127mm. Ideally, I would like to find a system with FWHM <0.5 A. I was hoping a few of y’all might have filter systems and experience with them. Im opening this thread in hopes yall can post some of your h-alpha images! The ones posted last week (forgive me, can’t remember his name) were pretty awesome IMNSHO 😎. In any case, tomorrow should be an excellent day for imaging the sun😅 At least right now, we gotta nice set of regions, both northern and southern, for imaging and viewing. Particularly in H-a. Weel, Thank all y’all! W & A
