It looks like PUNCH's team just released their first coronagraph images. It's exciting to have a new tool arriving.

These pictures seem to have a large FOV while still keeping quite a lot of detail, which is great! I'm not sure what's going on with the weird shapes in some of the photos but I'm sure that'll get worked out.

This is really exciting, now waiting for PROBA-3 observations that will plug the observation gap between 1 and 3 solar radii

Edit: That is the black spot right at the centre of the image, that will be plugged too, even Aditya-L1 observes in that gap

It'll be amazing to have more narrow and wide FOVs to work with O:

I'll have to look into Proba-3 a little, I don't know much about it. But seems we're on the verge of some really exciting stuff! What a great time to be interested in the Sun!

Seeing those CMEs was pretty cool. Hopefully it may give us clearer estimates of travel times to L1 and possibly better density estimates down the road. Very cool. 😊

Yeah it looks amazing ! It looks like the milky way in the background also. Very beautiful :D
