Been slowly making a simple NE limb video and finally decided to finish it last night as JSOC will be down for 6 hours for maintenance to fix data gaps.

This applies to everything.

It seems you somewhat know what data to look at, but you don't know what to look for. I'd recommend you do some learning before you get in trouble. You are very welcome to ask questions in the forums,. Looking at data from past events will help as well to find out what the "good" events look like.

I asked you several times the same question and still did not receive a single satisfactory answer. Why do you find this specific region important to mention?

He's a notification that can't be turned off. Just get used to it 😂

Oh, it is not about me being irritated or something. If he learns to ask himself such questions he could become quite a nice contribution to this forum.

Looks like the the spot peeking over the edge has got some filament close to it in the 171 images . Magnetograph just starting to show some colour as well , looks like it could be fairly wide still ... disclaimer images are still very distorted at the limb yet .

likeing how old 4055 is looking presently however quiet entrance it is huge and has potential and a possible unstable complexity so hopefully it so hopefully it bursts soon presently bright and active on 304 Ångstromsimage.pngimage.pngimage.png

I don't want to be the one to say it, But is bares an unfortunate similarity to a large Beta, I'm seeing very little complexity; and it feels we should already be seeing more complexity if it were present.

it is on the east limb so the true complexity isnt present yet unfortunately we can only hope immediate spots will form around this huge leading one in the coming days which will lead to Instablity and hopefully big flares.🤞

True, though for magnetically complex regions, there is quite seldom such nice, almost perfectly circular spots as we see here, they tend to look chaotic even from the limb, very often exhibiting a "vortex or mushroom (on its side)" like appearance of spots as the complex polarities push and pull on each other if I am not mistaken; So while Yes it is still to early to see the entirety of the AR, it is looking too ordered to be very complex, thus me suspecting a simple Beta.

This I think is also why it has been seemingly devoid of CMEs on the farside it's entire trek.

But as you said, hopefully it can grow more complex, or even have a more complex tail hidden from view now,
Though I personally doubt it.

Can't be disappointed if you don't expect anything. P
I hope to eat my hat in a few hours/days, but we'll see.

the only thing with this old region is its producing minor C1 flares with periodic C2 flares from it so atleast its still alive lol.

also keeping us out of B levels.

Btw, there might also be an “ignore user” option, you might consider looking for that.

the Spamming is real lol.

No, no, no, I'm not asking for that. If I was uncomfortable with it, I just wouldn't read it. Funny guy, I like him.

But for his own development, you could limit it to new posts. In that case, he could be more selective for new posts. It's humane and rational

Especially since @arjemma ema won't forgive me for my lack of intolerance 😀

i have a gut feeling this isn't the rest of 4055 the huge spot on the right is what we are seeing now with another huge spot on the left which will probably rotate into view in 1 day along with what is visible now it correlates to the right spot so unless the left spot decayed we'll see but this is 100% the right spot.image.png

Old region 4055 is definitely coming in strong, I hope it doesn't go the same way like other previous regions. They rotate into view active, go quiet for a week, then leave with lots of activity. It does have some nice coronal looping though.

Former 4055 was quiet on farside, so it may be our chance this time

The moderators are discussing how best to handle the situation.

We have spoken with him in the past, without effect.

I’m with those who perceive him as well-intentioned apparently. Just lacking in awareness of what is sensible to post.

Making your jobs all the more difficult, I should imagine.

Yes, I agree, it certainly doesn’t seem malicious or anything. Maybe there’s a language barrier or something. Still, it’s unproductive and against the forum rules, and we seem to have been unable to get through and be successful in communicating that to him in the past. We’re trying him on post approval required after a 1-day temp ban this time, hopefully we can work something out.

East of 4079 a new group is trying to form, I'd give it high hopes. In my humble observations, they emerge as challenging and promising regions during periods of rapid growth.
