Been slowly making a simple NE limb video and finally decided to finish it last night as JSOC will be down for 6 hours for maintenance to fix data gaps.

Appears that region is turning into view, also recently just flared but just with a minor C2.25 flare

Another Incoming region on the East limb will probably be a alpha or beta sunspot With no Real activity.

I think it is flaring now (?)

So far these new Regions That Turn into view off the East limb have either been alpha or beta spots With no really Complex or promising Regions Turning into view So march Has been a quiet month so far Except for some filament snaps and 2 M flares that's about it.

Looks at least bet-ish. Let us wait a day or two to see it better, then maybe we will spot the complexity.

Looks like this region has been slowing growing, is relatively close to the east limb to

Space weather has been dismal for weeks, except for coronal hole streams, activity seem to be waning in a significant way. The current prediction is for a short solar cycle with low activity in the future.

Hi. I've been watching the sun here for a year or so. Believe it has something to do with planes crashing. Anyways do you guys get paid for sun research or just a hooby.

Welcome. The Sun has nothing to do with that. Don't worry.

SpaceWeatherLive is a hobby for us, And space weather is a hobby for pretty much all of our users. If you have any questions feel free to get in touch with me. This topic is about incoming and unnumbered active regions.

In what way? I suppose there could be some correlation (GPS going haywire during radiation storms, currents induced over the plane body...), but I am curious where exactly you see the connection.

I really wish I was paid for that. Alas, just being a student :/

This Region Has Been pretty active on the east limb popping a C6.07 C7.21 and now another C8.79 So Its definitely more promising then what we've had so far this month It'll be interesting to see how it looks soon.

Immediate jump back into a baseline C-level flux compared to the past week.

Seems like we have a very intresting and a bright region on the east limb, probably going to be visible in about 2-3 days

Yep. Coming in at south 17 or so according to solar soft. Spitting nearly constantly now.

First spot visible just at the limb, moderate size negative spot. Lets see whats hiding behind it...

After looking at what was on the sun weeks ago and with the help of farside imagery (JSOC farside monitor) it could to be old 3998, which used to be a B-G-D region before. It could also be the small region which was ahead, 3996. So I dont think its something new, still excited whats left or whats it gonna do.
