filament uitbarsting 17 maart 2013

vandaag was er een filamentuitbarsting nabij een nieuw ongenummerd gebied (zie magnetogram in bijlage). Het was een vrij zwakke klasse B8 filamentuitbarsting waarbij een aardgerichte CME zichtbaar was op de STEREO beelden. Lasco beelden zijn momenteel nog niet beschikbaar om de precieze vorm en distributie van de CME te zien. Op basis van de STEREO beelden had de CME een snelheid van 300km/sec welke bij aankomst op Aarde weinig merkbaar zal zijn en dus vrijwel geen geomagnetische storm zal opleveren.

 

UPDATE:

ondertussen zijn de Lasco beelden wel zichtbaar, en het is een mooie halo CME geworden (zie bijlage)
