AR 37,55 has a reverse polarity compared to the other regions in the southern hemisphere. Is this significant. What do y’all make of it.

Hey @Lawn Boy  I can only see the blue positive regions now.  But this looks physically like the Anti-Hale  thing @Philalethes started a topic for.  I think it spit out sone C class today, so a good start.  Anyway SWPC must see a negative companion cuz it’s tagged as a Beta.

Region 3755 is in the northern hemisphere, so it's polarities are in their correct position. The region is sitting almost on the equator though.

Thanks @Jesterface23  hadn’t looked at it was incorrect on its flaring btw.  It was 3759 that popped off the C flares.  This guy is quiet presently. But does look hot in 94 ang.

3755 does appear unusual besides just barely being in the Northern Hemisphere. It has what is called an Anti-Joy configuration.  Joys law notes the general tendency for the trailing spots to be higher in latitude or further from the solar equator.

I briefly read about that in an abstract recently but forgot to finish the article, thanks for reminding me about that!
