I think the Sun just died. Maybe someone should go check on it.  (is this eclipse?)

Yep, still GOES eclipse season. To clarify, the eclipsing object is Earth, as the GOES satellites pass directly behind it around the equinoctes. This seems to be GOES-16, whose eclipse schedule you can find here (only a few days left now). The instance in question:
