Afgelopen nacht waren de spaceweather condities niet optimaal, maar vanwege de heldere sterrenhemel hield ik het toch in de gaten. De Bz was al lange tijd negatief en toen de magnetometers onrustig begonnen te worden heb ik de camera buiten gezet. Een zonnewind van 380 km/s is voor Nederland eigenlijk te laag, maar Kiruna gaaf toch een behoorlijke zwieper. De aurora bleef beperkt tot zwak fotografisch poollicht.

Locatie: Franeker, 23:30 lokale tijd

Camera: Canon EOS60D: 17mm, F/2.8, 10 s,  ISO 6400, statief

Goed gevangen!! Zo zie je maar weer, een langdurig zuidelijk gericht IMF kan toch wat opleveren :)
