Finding historical data

Featured Replies

Hello all,

First post here. I'm a PhD researcher. I've looked through the archives and found a historical event I'm interested in: https://www.spaceweatherlive.com/en/archive/2015/12/21/xray, particularly the solar flare which caused a peak in our data.

Apart from just looking at the graphs, I'm wondering where I could get the actual data of the solar activity from i.e. the data stored in a .csv file (Power vs time), or something along those lines. I've looked at http://sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov/data/dataaccess.php and http://jsoc.stanford.edu/ajax/lookdata.html , but I'm wondering if anybody has any experience in extracting / requesting data before I go off and do that.

Thanks,

Berg
