Lerwick Solar Observatory

Album created by Rory Gillies · Updated

Hydrogen alpha and continuum filtered solar images from Lerwick, Shetland Islands. The Hα images are captured with a Sky-Watcher Heliostar 76Hα dedicated telescope using a SVBony SV605MC mono camera for the full disk (IMX533 sensor), and a ZWO ASI679MM mono camera for detail. The same cameras are used for the photosphere images, with a SVBony SV503 102ED telescope, Baader solar film and a Baader solar continuum filter (540nm @ 7.5nm bandpass).
