Guest Keith Woodard
Good Day, It would appear that late today, GMT, there was a significant CME encountered against our Magnetosphere. I noticed also that 'Aurora borealis' activity increased at Northern latitudes at the same time. Third and most importantly, the Thule AB neutron monitoring station indicated a significant decrease in active reporting of cosmic rays or CGRs. However, with this being said, I have not noticed any recent flare activity or solar storm activity reported on this website. To impact CGRs in this way is requires a specific type of sub-atomic radiation. Cheers, Keith
Marcel de Bont
There is indeed some geomagnetic activity at this time but it does not seem CME related. It is likely a CH HSS.
Guest Harry Twinotter
Solar sector boundary crossing maybe. I agree, a CH HSS.
