Miles
Still a bit early to tell but I think I see a delta!
hamateur 1953
I just looked at the HMI page and see a clear division in the leading positive area. Is this the area Miles? Solar soft doesn’t have the swpc number yet but the C level activity at the approximate latitude indicates there probably is stuff happening there.
Alan Yohualli
Wow, this region has a lot of potential to be something big, after several disappointments!!!

I hope you’re correct!! Haven’t rechecked the latest HMI or evolution but sure will now! Tnx. Still not seeing a delta but it may evolve more. We need to see more of this entire region I think. No big deal. It is helping with 10.7 anyway in the interim Edited August 29 by hamateur 1953 Reevaluated a bit

MinYoongi
May i ask which region this is? I thought there are no more topics for regions not yet numbered. its just unneccesarily confusing tbh. Edit: My bad. I misread the synoptic map! its numbered hehe. Its hard to tell if it has a delta on the limb. Limb distortion sadly is a real problem I wonder if all the white faculae around it means it has decayed previously? Does anyone maybe know if it was bigger when turning around/farsided?

Misaka
1 hour ago, MinYoongi said: I wonder if all the white faculae around it means it has decayed previously? Does anyone maybe know if it was bigger when turning around/farsided? There is no significant change in the last farside pictures where the spot is visible. But the spot was former AR 3772 3777, so the spot was definitely bigger at some point 🙂 Edited August 29 by Misaka 1
Jesterface23
It looks like the spots on the west side are mostly negative and east are mostly positive. Hard to tell what the polarity of smaller spots would be at this point. 4 minutes ago, Misaka said: But the spot was former AR 3772 Region 3806 is in the area of old region 3777. He was disturbed haha I love Hagrid. 😅😁 does anyone know why noaa assigned 15% for an X flare for this region? It didn’t look that complex to me yet, but to be honest I have been pretty busy with work and other stuff.. btw: how can they give 15% for one region and 10% for the whole disk? 😂 2 hours ago, ScrapFatherScrapSon said: What’s up with the swift dip into b background flux? I think eclipse is most likely 1

Lucky again?🤣🤣🤣 Please stop spamming mentions. I'm not interested in your "predictions". Also didn't this region already flare while on the Eastern limb? It looks quite complex and I currently see no (scientifically plausible) reason why it should disappoint.
TheChef
To my admittedly inexperienced eye, the Delta regions of this spot look pretty weak. Can anyone with more knowledge/experience chime in?

Thats the thing im wondering about, to me it does not look quite complex and im confused about why noaa is assigning it 15% chance. to answer your question : Yep, it did flare on the limb! Im unsure if it was the region that was responsible for M-X Class Flaring on the farside though. 31 minutes ago, TheChef said: To my admittedly inexperienced eye, the Delta regions of this spot look pretty weak. Alan Yohualli
¡Guau! El clima espacial en vivo se clasificó como beta-gamma-delta. ¡Y produjo un m3.8! It pains me to say that it was impulsive.
