AR3780 had 190 MSH when come from far side.

Actually, it took a couple days to rotate into view & when it did it was around 950 MSH. It has gone up & down in size since then.

This region has a very strong positive polarity spot. Haven't seen something like it in a long while.

you mean because of the "hole" in the magnetogram? :D

The configuration's been weird from the start too, with the largest negative spot(s) below the positive one, almost reversed; looks like that's where we're seeing some decently sized delta spots forming now too.

Damn its really starting to take shape into something interesting, maybe some X-flaring soon? ;)

That positive polarity spot is pretty intense

Looks like the Deltas are getting really big fast. I gotta check the most recent SHARP vector image, very curious how the shear is coming along.

One polarity is up while another is down. I remember reading how this twist causes flares like the X5 in new years 2024.

Interesting. I know sunspot groups arranged in a circular pattern tend to be more active than standard AR's. I'm also eagerly awaiting for more Anti-Hale sunpot groups to appear.

It seems to have decayed slightly but it has a couple areas of modest shear. I circled the areas of interest in purple.

Hopefully we'll see a bit of regrowth sometime today.

is that bullseye in the big positive spot a common feature to see? havent been looking at HMI imagery very long but never seen that, is it indicative of instability?

Usually that means the intensity of the magnetic field exceeds what HMI can process. Or something along those lines.

3784 is looking rather wicked now in my opinion. 4 deltas now

Yeah I though it had at least one delta ! They dropped it to a lower classification today but that should change soon!

Based on recent activity alone it is heading for mid M or X soon IMO.  Excellent!!
