Hughsie Posted August 14, 2021 Share Posted August 14, 2021 I recently started taking a deeper interest in the activity of the Sun and have a question regarding the location of active regions. For example, today AR12853 is listed as being located N22W13. To me, this suggests that its position may be being measured from the centre of the solar disc but perhaps someone could kindly confirm what the numbers are referenced against. Many thanks.
