Pulsing dark glare in LASCO C2 and C3 data

Hi everyone.

I noticed something I never seen before and it is a pulsing "glare" right after the missing data, after the far-side flare on 10th of June 2021.

It starts at 02:00 12/6  and stops at 15:24 14/6.

9 pulses at regular intervals. Any clues, explanation for this?

SOHO is getting old (launched in 1995 and was only for a two year mission that’s been extended and extended). Image processors in that day compared to now is huge and keep in mind that this sensor is exposed to space so it’s likely to have glitches.

I see what the OP is referring to in a movie created from C2 imagery for that date range.   It does look like an adaptive radial brightness/dimming algorithm going nuts.  As an aside, there are several meteoroids/comets in quadrant IV visible in both C2 and C3 for that date range.
