Sun diving comet causes multiple cme's

Yesterday 2 cme's fired off and today another one possibly caused by a sundiving comet! Solar wind stream flowing from a Southern coronal hole will reach us on the 1st or 2nd of march 2021. Density and speed are both low so I expect it to be a weak impact.

Both CME’s where associated with the two impulsive C-class solar flares from 2804. Haven’t seen the sun diver yet 😊CH is indeed on its way as been reported by us as well.

What about today's cme? Was it also caused by a sunspot...

The sun diver can be seen in my video in the C3 animation or you could just view it on SOHO yourself happened yesterday you can't miss it...

Yes, the C3 also originated from AR12804, see our flare list on the site.

So it seems but you know I didn't mean the sun diving comet created those cme's by itself what I meant is it increased the sun's activity.

Contributing those cme's indirectly sometimes however they canmake the sun produce cme's seen it many times happen with a blank sun!

Anyway thx for the info helpful in some way, forgot about those sunspots... 😄

We use the satellite SOHO's coronagraph imagery to determine if a CME is Earth directed. The CME yesterday was small and near the western limb. If you look at the coronagraph imagery it shoots out to the side and isn't Earth directed. The CME a few days ago was Earth directed with a full halo in coronagraph imagery, but was very hard to see. I wouldn't expect an impact from that one with it being fairly slow and the current coronal hole ran it over.
