christmas X class flare?

it would surely be a wonderful Christmas gift for us if we see an x class flare before the year ends, or at least an M class flare. sadly i don't foresee an x class flare till around mid year 2021. this is based purely on gut hopeful feelings FYI.

It sure won’t be a Christmas X-flare 😉 all regions are magnetically simple and don’t pose a threat for moderate to strong solar flares. If the regions would further develop and get more magnetically complex in the next days there is a slight possibility for some new year fireworks but I doubt it
